About the Pickett Society

The Pickett Society is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Our objectives are memorial, historical, and educational. We are non-political and affiliated with no other organization. We do not have endowments and depend upon members’ dues and fund raisers to support our projects.

The Society is dedicated to learning and disseminating facts about the life and times of the notable American, George Edward Pickett. In all things we do, The Society imposes historical accuracy to highest extent possible and can only disregard 'hearsay' and 'subjective innuendo'. We do not publish or propagate historical information unless it can be verified several times by varying sources or by official and primary sources.

We publish a quarterly journal, The Virginian, which our members receive. In addition to two sponsored events or seminars each calendar year, we gather to celebrate the completion of projects or to commemorate notable historical occasions. Tours, seminars and workshops are available to members at discounted prices. Please join us in our endeavors by printing the membership form and returning it to the address indicated with your annual membership dues. Your participation will be very much appreciated and, we believe, very rewarding.

Users are forbidden to reproduce, republish, redistribute, or resell any materials from this website in either machine-readable form or any other form without permission of The Pickett Society or payment of the appropriate royalty for reuse.
